Welcome to Savile Row Company Custom Made, formerly 40 Savile Row. Part of a family-run business that has been making luxury clothing since 1938, Custom Made produces only the highest-quality bespoke and ready-to-wear garments for men and women — drawing discerning customers from all over the world.
Located a stone’s throw from London’s Savile Row, we offer one-to-one personal care, combined with an extensive knowledge of the tailoring industry. We design for individuals that appreciate superior quality and expert craftsmanship, and have a highly experienced team on-hand to help you create the very best clothing and accessories for your wardrobe. Max Ciampi, the store director, has been working in the luxury retail sector for over 20 years, while Store Manager Tess has worked on Savile Row since 2000.
Savile Row Company was founded in 1938 by Gerry Doltis — a master tailor who made suits for many of the leading entertainment and establishment figures of the day. After being called to National Service in 1939, his London factory was destroyed during the Blitz. The company ceased trading until he returned.
Once returning home, Gerry restarted the business and moved into larger premises. Savile Row Company soon became a leading supplier of luxury clothing for department stores across the UK. In 1998, his son Jeffrey — now managing director — opened 40 Savile Row. Throughout its 23 years on the iconic street, the shop welcomed many influential men and women. From suits to shirts and accessories, it offered a wide range of bespoke and ready-to-wear garments for a wide range of occasions.
In December 2021, 40 Savile Row closed in order to broaden in-person customer experience. An enhanced store was developed in Savile Row Company’s owned headquarters in Coach & Horses Yard, just a few minutes away. The new space provides the same level of service and products presented in discreet, luxurious surroundings.
Savile Row Company Custom Made officially opened in March 2022.
